About Our Church

Ed Russ, with over 20 years of pastoral experience helped launch Greenhouse in April, 2022.

 

His desire is to see everyone flourish in their lives as they grow into Christlikeness, using their gifts to help build up the body of Christ and to offer their contribution to advance God's Kingdom.

 

One of his driving passages is Ephesians 4. He loves to teach the Bible, especially in helping people see the big picture of a passage or a book and how they can live out what they are learning. Ed, a UNC-Chapel Hill grad has been married to Mary since 1995 and together they raised two daughters. Now, they are loving the grandparent life!

Sam Christie was a teenager in the mid 1970's when he believed in Jesus as his Savior. He loves following Jesus and serves as an elder at Greenhouse Church.  He is grateful to God for so many blessings and wants others to know God through His Word, the Bible.  

 

His day job is in computing, but his love is family life and ministry.  Sam and his wife, Martha, were married in 1985 and have enjoyed raising two sons. They love studying the Bible with all ages and seeing God inspire and transform them in their relationship with Him. 

 

For fun, Sam likes rubbing elbows by working as a team to help others in practical ways. He loves worshiping and singing and hanging out together with family and friends young and old.

 

He is excited about what God is doing with a great team of people at Greenhouse so that others may know Jesus and grow in His love.
